PAST DORSET FLOCK SIRES

 ”MCDERMIT 1110Y” is one of our own ranch raised rams.  He was a big, powerful ram with lots of length and thickness; a solid top line; good bone; and correct feet and legs.  We showed him at the 2013 Agribition where he placed 1st in the mature ram class.  His sire is Moonshine 82R (pictured below).
The fall of 2018 was the last time we used him. We put him on our yearling ewes that were sired by Briar Glen 100B, and we got some really nice lambs in 2019.
In February 2019, he went to live out his days and sire his last lambs in a little flock nearby.

McDermit 1187Y is a ranch raised ram who was sired by the Shaw ram.  His dam was an Edymore ewe.  We had sold him as a 5 month old lamb to John & Edith Williams in Alberta, and when they sold their sheep, they very graciously gave him back to us in 2014.  We used him until 2017.  He was a very powerful, deep and long bodied ram.

“Shaw DAE 09W” is the ram that we purchased at the All Canada Classic in Drake, SK in July 2011.  He came from Doug King’s flock on Prince Edward Island.  He is a very thick, traditional style ram and he passes these characteristics onto his lambs.  He sired some of our lambs from 2012 to 2014.  We sold him to a young boy from Alberta in 2015.  View his pedigree.

Pictured below is “Moonshine 82R”, at 6 years old.  He sired nice long-bodied lambs with straight top lines and good extension over the dock.  A high percentage of our ewe flock is sired by him.  We used him from 2007 – 2012.  View his pedigree.

We used “Green Glen 12N” from 2007 – 2010.  He was a big, thick ram that carried good bone.  Pictured at 6 1/2 years old.  A lot of our ewes are sired by him.  He went to a new home in fall 2010.  View his pedigree.
